"You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, His generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity."
We encourage you to join us in not participating in any recession. The world’s economy is dependant on buying and selling; supply and demand. God’s economy is based on seed-time and harvest; sowing and reaping. Ecclesiastes 11:4 says, “He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.” In other words, if you’re looking for circumstances to be favorable in order to sow, you won’t sow!
Genesis 26 gives us a wonderful example of a life of faith. Isaac sowed in a time of famine and received a hundredfold in the same year. Glory to God! Hundredfold simply represents a maximum return on any given seed. For example, in nature, different kinds of seeds produce different quantities of fruit. What is the potential in one apple seed? It’s practically unlimited! Of course it takes a while for that apple seed to start producing apples, and once it does, it keeps producing year after year. But not all seeds produce like apples. If you plant corn when it’s time to plant corn, you won’t be waiting years for that corn to produce. You’ll be enjoying its fruit by summer. If you sow, you will reap!
Every year during the first part of Spring here in Alabama, when I see the tulips blooming around town, I think about how beautiful they are and how they would look outside my kitchen window. But do I envy my neighbor's beautiful tulips and think how unfair it is that I don’t have any? No. Why? Because I have never planted tulips! If there is no fruit, it is because there has been no seed.
So be like Isaac. Trust God no matter what it looks like. Your seed is your future. Plant the apple seeds now; put those tulip bulbs in the ground when it looks like nothing can grow. Harvest is coming for you! Genesis 8:22, “ While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” What a wonderful promise from our faithful Father!
